The Virginia Happy Trails Running Club will hold its party for members and for the volunteers at its events over the past year. The party will recognize the volunteers. There will be good conversation, bad jokes, food, and drink.

Kerry Owens has graciously agreed to host the party at her house which is centrally located in our nation's capital. When you RSVP, you will receive complete instructions for driving and parking. Also, the party is very close to a Metro station.

All food and drink will be paid for by the club. There is no need to bring or contribute anything. But, please RSVP! We need to know how much to buy.

How to RSVP

The only thing we ask is that you let us know that you are coming. Please don't just show up, we need to plan, order food, and make a name tag for you. RSVP using the VHTRC Entry Form. Please RSVP by Monday, August 18.

Who is Invited?

Volunteers, their guests, all VHTRC members, and runners in VHTRC events.

Is there any cost?

No.

Should I bring anything?

No. It's all paid for. But you do need to do one thing. RSVP!

Three years ago, you had a limit on drinks. Will there be one this year? Can I again drink myself silly for free as in past parties?

You may not drink yourself silly especially if you are driving. That would be wrong. But there is no limit on the drinks which will be beer, wine, and soft drinks unless Gary comes.

Are Entrants to the Events Really Invited?

Yes. We want you to come thank the volunteers in person and tell them how much they mean to you.

How do I get there?

Directions to Kerry's house are on the Potomac Heritage Trail 50 km Web page You can take Metro which has a station very close to Kerry's house.

What's the party like?

We can't say in public, but here is the report from the year 2000 party. The party is informal and casual. Don't wear a tie!
