The 2005 edition of the MMT 100 is in the record books, literally. We had two new course records and many wonderful performances. This would not be possible without the help of the best volunteers in the country! I have already received many notes from finishers and even those who didn't quite "have it this weekend" about the great help that they had at the aid stations. The number of people who came up to me after the race to say thanks and compliment the volunteers was overwhelming. You did a GREAT JOB!Our new winner agrees. Here is the note he sent to me.
Just wanted to thank you and all of your helpers on an amazing day for me and my parents. I had tough goals set on the day, and despite my grumpy moments received all the aid I could have ever needed. It surely is a gorgeous forest, and I wish I could live near it. Its the people that make this sport great, and I hope to do many more 100's. I plan to come back and next time try not to walk up short mountain! :) Hope to see ya in New England some time, we have lots of rocks too!
I hope that you had a great weekend, I know that I did.
